Another year, another chance to put forward a team of incredible individuals for the biggest half marathon in the world. Alongside around 60,000 fellow participants, our wild runners took on the challenging route from city to sea, and they did us proud, raising more than £2500 for the Trust in the process.
Head of Development and Communications, Emily Routledge, said: "Fundraising events such as the iconic Great North Run offer our supporters an opportunity to raise vital funds for nature restoration across the North East of England. To have people willing to take on such a tough challenge for Durham Wildlife Trust is truly humbling and the fact they have raised so much money is a testament to their own support, from family and friends. I'd like to personally thank all those who took part. Every penny you have raised will make a difference."
