Wildlife for wellbeing

A group of hikers walks along a narrow dirt path surrounded by tall green grass and wildflowers. Steep, rocky cliffs rise on either side, covered in dense vegetation. The sky above is partly cloudy, with patches of blue breaking through. The scene captures a peaceful outdoor walk through a lush, natural landscape.

Wildlife for wellbeing

Spending time in nature can ease stress, lift moods, and support overall health. Fresh air, green spaces, and encounters with a variety of species help strengthen the immune system, build mental resilience, and encourage people to be more active. Durham Wildlife Trust runs regular events to help people connect with the wildlife around them.
