About the event

Discover how Hannah Hauxwell’s traditional hay meadow farming techniques preserved a special collection of plant species and learn how the Trust cares for the reserve today.

Hannah's Meadow Nature Reserve is set within the traditional farming landscape of Baldersdale, part of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Now a Site of Special Scientific Interest, the meadows are considered to be some of the least improved and most species rich in upland Durham. Join the Trust's Reserves Manager this summer to find out more about this very special site and perhaps spot some of the wonderful wildlife which call it home.

Please wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. This event is a supporter's event (members and volunteers of Durham Wildlife Trust only).
