About the event

Over two hours you will be assisting in the recording of various species found along our coastline. There will be a professional on hand to assist in the identification, and so beginners are most welcome. You will need sturdy footwear that you don’t mind getting wet, and ideally, as it may be quite warm, a bottle of water. Lunch will not be provided, so please eat before or after the activity.

The engagement officer will be waiting at the meeting point, should you not be able to find them, they can be contacted on: 07561855932.

This event is for ages 16+, however, under 18s MUST be supervised by an adult. As it requires climbing over coastal rocks, this activity is not suitable for those with medical issues that may be exacerbated should they slip or fall.

Toilets are available in the centre of the village, a roughly ten-minute walk from the site, and so please plan accordingly.

Please wear suitable footwear with good grip, that you don’t mind potentially getting wet. Please also consider dressing appropriately for the weather, including sunscreen should it be a hot day, as you will be in an exposed location.

Parking is available at Seafield Road Car Park should there be a charge to be able to park, Stronger Shores are able to re-imburse this. Please note you will be walking over rocky shore, and so a degree of fitness is required.
