AN ambitious fundraising appeal to secure the future of a North East nature reserve has smashed its target after an “incredible” public response.
Ordinary moss is very common in gardens and woodlands. moss provides shelter for many minibeasts, so encourage it to grow in your garden by providing logs, stone piles and untidy areas.
The future of one of the North East’s most important nature reserves has been secured thanks to the “overwhelming” response to a fundraising appeal.
Thanks to the support of The Daniell Trust, there are a number of improvements underway at Shibdon Pond.
