About the event

This will be an early morning guided walk to blow the winter cobwebs away and welcome in the spring.

Durham Wildlife Trust Director, Ecology Manager and Nature Reserves manager will be your guides identifying the sounds and sites of the start of spring at Joes Pond and Rainton Meadows. We will also be delving into the changing nature of spring and some of the science behind what continued changes to our climate mean for our spring wildlife.

Please bring binoculars if you have them. If not, we will have spare binoculars available to borrow.

If you would like to help us to record species at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve, please download iRecord and iNaturalist and search for Durham Wildlife Trust to record your sightings during the walk (not compulsory)
