About the event

Join our Nextdoor Nature Officer to explore ways we connect to nature. Our Nextdoor Nature Officer has over 25 years of meditation experience and is also Buddhist Chaplain at the University of Sunderland.

This will be an opportunity to both explore our own stories of connection to nature as framework for being part of nature’s recovery and meaningful action in our own neighbourhood.

Mindfulness and meditation practices will also be used on the day as tool to being in the present wherever you are. You do not need to have previous meditation experience and mats and cushions and chairs are available.

A person dressed in black kneels on a black meditation cushion in a room with blue carpet and blue chairs. They are smiling at the camera. Behind them is a white radiator and a wall with two rows of framed photographs. A small bowl with a handle sits on the floor beside the cushion. The setting appears calm and informal, possibly used for meditation or relaxation.
