About the event

Trust Director, Jim Cokill and Ecology Manager, Mark Dinning, will guide you from Hardwick Park to Bishop's Fen, sharing details about how the Discover Brightwater Project brought the Trust's vision for a Great North Fen to life. You will also hear information about how the Trust is working with others to restore the once vast habitats of the Durham Carrs, for wildlife and for people.

Meet us next to the leaflet stand on the edge of the main car park. Please note, there are parking charges at this location. Find details here.

This event will last between 2 and 2.5 hours. Due to the terrain, this walk is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Please wear weather-appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear.
