
Incredible Invertebrates at Hetton Park
About the event
Come along this summer holidays to learn invertebrate ID with the Links for Nature Team at Hetton Park.
Join us for kick sampling in Hetton Burn to learn more about the creatures living beneath the surface, as well as sweep netting for those hiding in the plants nearby.
Suitable for early years, primary school aged children and families.

This activity is suitable for families. Children attending must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and dress accordingly to the weather forecast. Long sleeves and trousers as well as sturdy shoes are advised. Wellies must be worn by anyone planning to enter the burn to take part in the kick sampling.
Please note, there is a short walk into the park from the Hetton Centre. Toilet facilities will be available at the start and end of the session at the Hetton Centre.
