About the event

Celebrate National Marine Week with us, and look out for cetaceans such as dolphins and harbour porpoises. Learn about the marine mammals that can be seen locally from our shores, and have a go at a guided survey! 

Help us to improve the conservation and protection of whales, dolphins and porpoises, by taking part in this guided Cetacean Watch survey to monitor and record this important group of marine mammals.

We will have binoculars available for you to borrow, but please do bring your own if you have some.

Please wear weather suitable clothing and outdoor footwear. You may wish to bring a hat, sunscreen and a drink.

Booking is essential. 

Suitable for 16+, anyone aged under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet at 10am on the promenade in front of the Heugh Battery Museum, w3w:///submit.powder.first

There is free parking, and public toilets are available.

This event is funded by the Sea Changers grant.
