Durham Wildlife Trust's Healing Nature project has sites across Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside. Check out the interactive PDFs and discover and learn more about the sites near you!

Healing Nature is well under way! If you are unsure of which Healing Nature sites are near you, please click on our interactive maps below, that will open as a PDF.

Looking ahead, as restrictions begin to lift this Spring, we look to gradually open the volunteer network and we would love for you to get involved.

Our site description PDFs outlines a brief site history, location & accessibility, what wildlife to look out for, and the proposed conservation activities on site.

Community engagement forms a large part of this project and we need your help in order to create more resilient conditions for wildlife to thrive, while ensuring local communities are better connected to their local wildlife sites.
