Help secure £50,000 in funding for The Great North Fen

Durham Wildlife Trust has been shortlisted as part of LNER's Customer and Community Investment Fund, which means the Trust could secure funding of £50,000.

The LNER funding opportunity could provide the Trust with a huge amount to help restore wildlife in the Durham Wildlife Trust patch.

Big and bold plans for rewilding wetlands

The ancient Durham Carrs were a habitat of wet grasslands, fens, ponds and wet woodlands, all of which supported a vast array of species, many of which are now lost. Durham Wildlife Trust has ambitious plans to restore them, as part of a Great North Fen.
