Rainton Meadows Home Education
We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month during term time.
For children aged 5-10, sessions run from 9.30am – 11.30am and children must be accompanied by an adult.
For older children, aged 11-16, sessions run from 12.30pm – 2.30pm.
£4 / child, booking is essential, meet at the Rainton Meadows Visitor Centre and wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.
Low Barns Home Education
We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 10am – 12pm.
Activities are aimed at ages 5- 10 years, children must be accompanied by an adult.

John Muir Award
The sessions are delivered in line with the John Muir Award; throughout the year there will be opportunities to achieve the four elements of the award: discover, explore, conserve and share. Durham Wildlife Trust can administer your award for you for an additional £3/child.
Why not bring a packed lunch or eat at The Meadows or Low Barns Coffee Shops and enjoy the Wild Play Area at Rainton Meadows or a walk around Low Barns Nature Reserve afterwards.
